42nd Apple Festival of Bagnaria
A whole day dedicated to the typical products of Bagnaria, in the Oltrepò Pavese.
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Bagnaria, Oltrepò Pavese, the Municipal Administration, in collaboration with the local Pro Loco, will host the 42nd Apple Festival.
The heart of the event will be the Fruit and Vegetable Market in Piazza A. Moro, where local producers will offer promotional sales of apples and other seasonal zero-kilometer fruits, such as pears, chestnuts, and honey. Among the most common apple varieties in the area are Golden, Stark, Pomella Genovese, Renetta, Annurca, Fuji, Champagne, and Granny Smith.
Visitors who make purchases at the market will receive tickets to take part in the apple-themed prize draw scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Throughout the day, there will also be stands featuring typical food, wine, and artisanal products near the market, while the Bagnaria Pro Loco will set up a food court for lunch. In the afternoon, live local music will be provided by “I Biondi.”
Special attention will also be given to health: staff from ATS will be on hand to offer citizens a free screening service as part of public health prevention programs. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and facilitate access to screening programs for breast, cervical, colorectal, and prostate cancer.
The day will also provide opportunities for discovery and leisure: thanks to the collaboration with the naturalist association Calyx, visitors can take part in the historical and naturalistic walk “Apple Time”, dedicated to exploring the area and its fruit-growing tradition.
Children will enjoy dedicated activities, including pony rides (“baptism of the saddle”) and inflatable games.
The Apple Festival, together with the traditional Cherry Festival, is a key event for Bagnaria: not only a moment to promote its typical products, but also an initiative aimed at enhancing the territory, its agricultural and food excellence, as well as the natural, historical, and artistic heritage of the Upper Oltrepò Pavese. Over the years, the event has become a true showcase for tourists and a driver of growth for local artisanal and commercial activities.
The 2025 edition of the Apple Festival is also made possible thanks to the contribution of Regione Lombardia – Bando Lombardia Style, supporting initiatives for the promotion and enhancement of territorial excellence.
