Autumn in Oltrepò Pavese brings warm colors, enchanting scents, and ancient traditions. On Sunday, October 4th, the hilltop village of Romagnese hosts a new edition of the Autumn Festival (Sagra d'Autunno), a day dedicated to local flavors, outdoor wellness, and fun for the whole family.

Organized by the Municipality of Romagnese and the Pro Loco association in collaboration with UNPLI and local partners, the event celebrates the finest local products—starting with the De.Co. Truffle, alongside pumpkins, DOP cured meats, local wines, and traditional culinary specialties.

• Gastronomy & Local Products: A rich tasting journey featuring autumn risotto prepared by Pro Loco, sandwiches with DOP cured meats by Salumificio di Romagnese, and guided tastings of local food paired with Oltrepò wines.

• Nature & Wellness: An immersive Forest Bathing and Forest Fitness T'ai Chi experience at the scenic Alpine Garden.

• Activities for Everyone: Bonsai pruning demonstrations, an amateur truffle hunting contest, creative workshops for children, a pumpkin weight-guessing competition, and live music.

• 09:30 AM – Festival Opening Opening of the market stalls featuring local products and an exhibition of vintage tractors along the village streets.

• 09:30 AM – Forest Bathing & T'ai Chi Integrated Forest Bathing and Forest Fitness T'ai Chi experience organized by Outdoor Oltrepò. Meeting point: 09:30 AM at the Alpine Garden (Info & reservations: Tiziana +39 339 1263506).

• 10:00 AM – Bonsai Workshop Hands-on workshop on bonsai care and pruning led by Azienda Agricola Marsetti at the Town Council Hall.

• 11:00 AM – Presentation of the De.Co. Truffle Official presentation of the Romagnese De.Co. Truffle at the Cinema Hall.

• 11:15 AM – Guided Tasting Guided tasting of local food specialties paired with regional wines at the Cinema Hall.

• 12:30 PM – Festival Lunch

  • Risotto with Sausage and Romagnese Pumpkin prepared by Pro Loco.

  • Sandwiches with salamella and DOP cured meats by Salumificio di Romagnese.

• 02:00 PM – Children's Workshop Creative activities and workshops for kids with Giovanna at the Town Council Hall.

Throughout the day, the festive atmosphere will be accompanied by live music with Renzo & Max, the popular pumpkin weight-guessing contest, a raffle with rich prizes, and exhibition stands featuring autumn specialties.
