Casteggio Autumn Fair 2026
On Sunday 20 September 2026, Casteggio comes alive with the Autumn Fair, the traditional event promoted by the Città di Casteggio that fills the historic centre with stalls, markets, live music, local flavours and street shows. Between the funfair, concerts in Piazza Dante and a fair spread throughout the town, it's the perfect way to say goodbye to summer with a day of celebration for all ages.
Funfair in Piazza Cavour
From 18 to 20 September, Piazza Cavour hosts the funfair, with rides and attractions for both children and adults that liven up Casteggio's evenings in the days leading up to and during the fair.
Historic town market
On Sunday 20 September, in Viale Giulietti and Piazzale Guarnaschelli, the historic town market takes place, a regular fixture for shopping and strolling among the stalls in one of the town's busiest spots.
The fair through the town centre
The heart of the event is the fair that, on Sunday 20 September, spreads through the streets of Casteggio's historic centre, filling squares and streets with something for every taste and every age.
Piazza Dante hosts stalls, the fair itself and a tractor exhibition, a classic feature for farm machinery enthusiasts.
Via Roma turns into an open-air stage with street performers entertaining visitors throughout the day.
Via Garibaldi hosts a vintage and craft market, perfect for anyone who loves hunting for antiques and handmade creations.
Via Gramsci features a plant display and tastings of local wines, cheeses and cold cuts, alongside a display of vintage cars and motorbikes.
Via Migliora showcases products and equipment from local businesses, a window onto the economy and craftsmanship of Casteggio and its area.
Live music in Piazza Dante
Piazza Dante is also the stage for the Autumn Fair's evening concerts. On Saturday 19 September, Asilo Republic takes the stage with a tribute to Vasco Rossi, while on Sunday 20 September the evening belongs to Magika 90.
Street food
Piazza Dante also features street food courtesy of Iper, with the Cibosuruote food truck serving filled sandwiches and bistro specialities to enjoy between one stall and the next.
