A now well-established date returns to the heart of the large Penicina park: on 8 and 9 August 2026, Fondazione Adolescere organises Estate alla Penicina, a weekend dedicated to enjoying good company while immersed in the beauty of the Alto Oltrepò Pavese, at Passo Penice, in the municipality of Romagnese. Two days of relaxation, live music, local heritage, nature, traditional food, sport and games, designed for adults, teenagers and children alike.

The Weekend Programme

Saturday 8 August

The weekend opens on Saturday 8 August, from 2 pm, with an orienteering challenge in the park: guided by expert Alberto Degli Antoni, participants will test their sense of direction using maps, compasses and lanterns. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to roots music with a live folk music workshop led by maestros Burrone and Faravelli, dedicated to the traditional dance steps of the Quattro Province area. The day continues with board games and role-playing games, and closes with a dinner featuring local produce.

Sunday 9 August

Sunday 9 August, from 10 am, begins with a nature walk led by Volo di Rondine – Natura in Oltrepò Pavese, exploring the local flora, fauna and legends. This is followed by lunch featuring traditional local produce. The afternoon is dedicated to rhythms from around the world, with a live music encounter with Zam Dembele, Griot of Mali: an event built on rhythm and participation, for dancing together under the trees of the park.

Activities for All Ages

Estate alla Penicina is designed for adults, teenagers and children. For younger guests, and not only them, there are dedicated creative spaces featuring shared weaving, role-playing games, storytelling sessions and the creation of a map of the park's trees: a way to get to know the woodland up close while having fun together.

Local Flavours

Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy the authentic flavours of traditional Oltrepò Pavese produce, from Saturday's dinner to Sunday's lunch, in a programme that combines conviviality with the appreciation of local food and drink.

How to Take Part: Overnight Stay or Single Days

Guests can enjoy the full experience by choosing the weekend package, staying overnight in the Penicina's independent apartments and taking part in every activity, or they can join in for individual activities on a single day.
