Schisciafarniscula Festival 2026
The 38th edition of the Schisciafarniscula Festival returns to Cassolnovo
The 38th edition of the Schisciafarniscula Festival returns to Cassolnovo on Sunday, October 25, 2026, bringing a full day of autumn flavours, local traditions and entertainment to Piazza Campari, in Lomellina.
Organised by the Callerio Association, the festival celebrates the traditional cuisine of the area with a rich selection of seasonal dishes. Visitors can taste polenta with ciudareu, rustida, salt cod, tripe, donkey stew and wild boar stew, as well as local salami, graton, pizzas, focaccia and traditional autumn desserts.
Roasted chestnuts will be available throughout the day. In the afternoon, there will also be the much-loved “Schiscia”, one of the traditional highlights of the festival.
Food can be enjoyed on site under the covered marquee, which will remain open even in case of bad weather, or taken away.
Throughout the day, visitors can also browse the market stalls, while the afternoon programme includes the Schisciombola, a traditional game with plenty of prizes.
The Schisciafarniscula Festival is an opportunity to discover the flavours and traditions of Cassolnovo and Lomellina, with a day dedicated to local food, conviviality and autumn traditions.
