Casei Gerola opens its doors to the region: on Sunday 29 November 2026, the second edition of “Porta Aperta – An Embrace of Flavour Between Oltrepò and Lomellina” takes place.

A day devoted to celebrating the food and wine excellence of the province of Pavia. The initiative was created to honour the meeting of two territories rich in tradition: the wines of the Oltrepò Pavese and the rice of Lomellina.

The historic centre will come alive with free tasting routes featuring wine, risotto and Salame di Varzi PDO, stalls of local products, and activities in the town’s shops and venues. Visitors can also enjoy stories told throughout the village and guided tours to discover the town’s art and heritage.

The event, organised with the support of Regione Lombardia, aims to promote the local gastronomic heritage, raise awareness of the area’s produce, and strengthen the cultural dialogue between Oltrepò and Lomellina.
