Cencerate Potatoes

This high-quality potato is still produced in small quantities in a hamlet of the Municipality of Brallo di Pregola.

In Brallo di Pregola every second Sunday in September, a Potato Festival has been celebrated for decades with stalls and local products, lunches in the square of gnocchi and culinary specialities made with Brallo potatoes before a ceremony which awards prizes to farmers growing the largest and most 'artistic' potatoes. This fine quality potato is still farmed in small quantities and is one of the products which is to be included in the Pavia Breadbasket collection. Production zone: Brallo di Pregola
